Introduction
Switching to solar isn’t just about technology—it’s about real families achieving big savings and energy independence. At GreatSun Power Pvt Ltd, we’ve helped thousands of customers in Jaipur transform their monthly expenses and future plans. Meet the Agarwal family of Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, who turned their rooftop into a smart solar investment and slashed their electricity costs by an incredible 80%.
The Problem: Rising Power Bills and Unpredictable Expenses
Like many Jaipur families, the Agarwals were seeing their monthly electricity bills climb each year, sometimes topping ₹4,500 in peak summer months. They wanted predictable costs, clean energy, and extra savings—but weren’t sure if solar was truly effective in the city’s climate.
The Solution: A Custom Rooftop Solar System from GreatSun Power Pvt Ltd
Our expert team visited the Agarwal home and performed a thorough site assessment:
-
Roof space available: 280 sqft, south-facing and shadow-free.
-
Average monthly consumption: 500–550 units.
-
Recommended system: 5 kW on-grid rooftop solar, with approval from Jaipur DISCOM.
We handled end-to-end subsidy paperwork under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, reducing upfront cost by ₹78,000.
Installation Experience: Hassle-Free and Prompt
-
Duration: 4 days from start to finish, including structural mounting, panel installation, wiring, and inverter setup.
-
Net metering: Installed and activated within two weeks.
-
Support: Real-time app monitoring so the Agarwals could check daily savings and system performance.
The Results: Real Numbers, Real Impact
-
Previous monthly bill: ₹4,200 average.
-
After solar: ₹800 average (mostly night-time, grid usage).
-
Annual savings: Nearly ₹40,800.
-
Projected lifetime (25 years) savings: Over ₹10 lakhs!
The family now enjoys predictable bills, a positive eco-footprint, and has even started planning to invest the money saved into their children’s education.
